Founded in 1996, Viña Rock has continued to grow and has become one of the major events on the Spanish festival calendar. This years edition was no exception, with an incredible selection of over 60 bands performing across 6 musical stages.

One of the of the highlights for me, was attending with the mighty Def Con Dos - a band who I not only like (love) but also one who have become friends. The chance to be their official photographer for the day was not to be missed!

The band burst onto stage launching straight into "Sintonia" with the usual lineup of Cèsar Strawberry, Samuel Barranco and Sagan Ummo (vocals), J. Al Ándalus (bass), Alberto Marin (guitar) and Kiki Tornado (drums). Today there was something different - for the first time Mara Gilbert (vocals) joined the crew on stage for the full concert, completing the rap metal ensemble.

the next 75 minutes was a back to back set of old and new tracks, including the anthem "Accion Muntante", "Ultrameme", "A.M.V." (which Mara proudly brings out the A.M.V. flag to the crowds delight) and of course, the unforgetable "El Dia De La Bestia"

As always Def Con Dos were unstoppable, Alberto finishing the concert with a broken guitar string in his mouth and yet not missing a note!

With bows and final photos, the band left the stage with thhe crowd screaming for more. To sum up the concert one word - EPIC!
